Crazy Men Profiled
Whole lotta crazy guys being profiled in the magazines.
You can start at Vanity Fair where there is a strange article by Brian McNally, the restauranter who seemed to catch the zeitgeist of the 80's and 90's and seems to have imploded in this century -- divorced, he made his way to Vietnam where he writes about the joys of barbershops there. I, for one, can't exactly understand what the hell he is talking about but worth checking out

Meanwhile over at The New Yorker, this week's issue (March 24, 2008) has two profiles of seriously crazed dudes -- one by Ben McGrath about former baseball player Lenny Dykstra's improbably post career success as a day trader and as the man about to launch a magazine / insurance co / financial consulting co for professional athletes.
