One of my favorite people in one of my favorite publications!

Jonathan Rosen has a captivating essay about the Jewish dimension of birdwatching, as related to his new non-fiction work "The Life of the Skies" (FSG)
in the current issue of The Jewish Journal of Los Angeles (which as you may know prints the Tommywood column every two weeks).

Rosen is the author of the novels Eve's Apple and Joy comes in the morning (which was mentioned in the following Tommywood column), as well as the thought-provoking non-fiction work, "The Talmud and the Internet."

Rosen was the first arts editor of the English language Forward, (and my editor there) and is now the editor of Nextbook's Jewish Encounter books series published with Shocken.

Rosen will be in LA on Tuesday April 1, at the Central Library as part of the ALOUD series, reading and in conversation with Jennifer Price . (7PM, Free but reservations recommended, for more info and to make reservations, click here).
