Simon Dumenco at Ad age agrees with me about media exec compensation

At at a time when media companies are laying off so many employees and their stock price is sagging even if their performance is not, why are the top executives continuing to reel in ridicculous compensation packages: $30 Million for Robert Iger, $28 Million for Peter Chernin and $27 Million for Rupert Murdoch, Sumner redstone, Les Moonves — who over the last few years have socked away more then $50 Million each in compensation — it’s shameful and shameless - when writers and other creative personnel are being told to do more with less, and paid less, sometimes not enough to live on.
Anyhow sorry to rant there, but this is to say that Simon Dumenco in his column in Adage, agrees. Read it here.
