Updike would have loved this!

From Cynthia Tuner’s Cynopsis:

Rebecca Romijn, seen most recently on ABC’s Ugly Betty, will join the cast of Eastwick, the ABC drama pilot about three women who discover they have supernatural powers when a mystery man moves to town. Romijn will be part of the ensemble cast including Lindsay Price, Veronica Cartwright and Jaime Ray Newman. Eastwick, from Warner Bros. TV is based on the John Updike novel The Witches of Eastwick which also spawned a 1987 feature film.

When Updike made his final appearance in LA last November at UCLA Live, Updike explained that in many respects he did not care for the 1987 feature based on his novel but there were some things that exceeded his expectations and he found intriguing. One was the casting of Michelle Pfeffier.  And I’m going to guess Rebecca Romjin would have the same effect on him.
