Demjanjuk released from federal custody

The soap opera continues.  Pending the review by the 6th Circuit court of appeals Demjanjuk has been released from Federal custody.

I just watched video of John Demjanjuk being removed from his house in a wheelchair (not a stretcher as reported elsewhere). It is hard to tell who was there (family members, attorneys).

Federal agents at Demjanjuk’s home

The latest is that Federal agents want to pick up Demjanjuk at 3PM and the AP is reporting that unmarked cars and a black SUV have arrived at his Demjanjuk’s Cleveland home.

Demjanjuk update: Deportation could be imminent

The US Justice Department would like to put Demjanjuk on a plane to Germany today. Demjanjuk’s representatives (according the AP his son) went to the US 6th circuit of Appeals  at 1PM Eastern Standard Time to request a stay.
Will they get the stay? Will Demjanjuk be put on the plane today? Stay tuned.
