HOLLYWOOD COMES ALIVE FOR THE DEBATE

Last night, the Kodak Theater in Hollywood was the site for the Democratic Presidential debate. Hollywood Boulevard was closed between Highland and Orange Avenue. There was quite a scene outside. CNN had set up a large operation and there were many protesters mostly against the War in Iraq. The picture below was taken from my cellphone by uber-producer Charles Newirth (he even produced this photo!) with the El Capitan Theater in the background preparing to show the Hannah Montana in 3-D movie.

The whole scene reminded me of cutting classes in high school to go to Anti-War protests

They were also broadcasting the debate on a giant screen in the Hollywood and Highland mall — which is where I’m going to go next time if they hold any more debates here in CA. Everyone had been scared off by reports of traffic and the street being closed off, but it was a friendly scene and not too crowded (or scary).
